The Long Gamma Impact Programme provides selected organisations with pro bono access to our strategic and commercial expertise. We help them address an important challenge, make stronger decisions and build the capabilities needed to create lasting impact.

Our contribution is not a general volunteering initiative or a financial donation. It is focused strategic advisory work.
We support organisations facing a clearly defined decision or challenge, from finding a sustainable business model to entering a new market, strengthening operations or building the partnerships needed to grow.
The purpose is simple: to make high-quality strategic advice accessible to organisations that could not ordinarily afford it, and to help them turn ambition into measurable progress.

Each engagement concentrates on one strategically important problem. Depending on the organisation and its circumstances, our support may include:

The work is deliberately focused. Our objective is to help the beneficiary resolve an important challenge, establish clear priorities and leave with a practical route to implementation.
Depth over volume
Long Gamma commits a maximum of one pooled working day each week to the programme. We support one principal beneficiary at a time and normally undertake two engagements each year.
This disciplined model allows us to make a substantive contribution while maintaining the attention and quality that strategic work requires.
Each engagement typically lasts between 16 and 20 weeks, with regular working sessions, analysis and preparation undertaken by the Long Gamma team.
How an engagement works
Select the right challenge
Applications and referrals are assessed according to potential impact, genuine need, strategic fit, feasibility and leadership commitment.
Understand the situation
We work with the selected organisation to understand its circumstances and identify the central strategic challenge.
Agree on the outcome
Together, we define the objective, scope, responsibilities, deliverables and measures of success.
Develop the way forward
Through focused analysis and working sessions, we examine the available options and develop practical recommendations.
Prepare for implementation
The organisation receives a prioritised roadmap, supporting tools and clear next steps that its team can take forward.
Review progress
Approximately three months after the engagement, we review implementation progress, results and lessons learned.
Impact must be tangible
The value of the programme will be measured by what changes for the organisations we support, not by the volume of activity or publicity it generates.
Depending on the engagement, progress could include:
- A stronger and more sustainable business model
- New revenue, funding or market opportunities
- Reduced costs or improved operations
- Better strategic and organisational capabilities
- Partnerships created or strengthened
- Jobs or livelihoods supported
- Improved services for communities and beneficiaries
- Recommendations successfully put into practice
Where appropriate, and always with the beneficiary’s consent, these outcomes may contribute to an annual Long Gamma impact summary.
Responsible by design
Every engagement is governed by a written, time-limited project agreement with clearly defined responsibilities, deliverables and exclusions.
Long Gamma also applies appropriate confidentiality, conflict-of-interest, reputational and information-handling safeguards. Engagements involving public institutions or state-owned organisations are subject to additional integrity and political-neutrality checks.
The programme does not support political campaigning, lobbying, procurement decisions or the award of public contracts.
